In need of a k24 basemap for stock 8th gen
Re: In need of a k24 basemap for stock 8th gen
Sounds good, hopefully that is the culprit. I know it sucks to spend money on parts like that, but it should fix the issue. Keep me in the loop on the install and we'll see how it looks.

I got the new o2 sensor installed :)EFICU wrote: Wed Feb 16, 2022 10:05 am Sounds good, hopefully that is the culprit. I know it sucks to spend money on parts like that, but it should fix the issue. Keep me in the loop on the install and we'll see how it looks.
Re: In need of a k24 basemap for stock 8th gen
Nice. Go ahead and make a quick datalog with the most recent calibration. We really just need a clean third gear WOT pull to tell if the new sensor is the fix. So whenever you can take it out, we’ll see how it looks.

Okay, I'm cautiously optimistic. It looks like you went back to Rev02, is that right?

Uhhh no I believe I’m on rev03 that was the last one you sent me I did drop in a new k and n filter into my stock air box my old one was a k and n too but it was super dirty so I decided to get a new one and donate my old one to my girl lolEFICU wrote: Sun Feb 20, 2022 8:21 pm Okay, I'm cautiously optimistic. Re: In need of a k24 basemap for stock 8th gen
Okay, I will still hold my optimism a little, although I do think we're on the right track.
Can you do me a massive favor so I can determine if we are on the right track or not, can you put Rev02 back in it, and take it out for a quick third gear pull? That will tell me if we're on the right track or not by comparing apples to apples.

Okay, still not quite where I want to be. Can you do me one last favor, upload Rev04 and make a short pull in third gear from 3000-6000. Keep it as a short pull from 3000-6000 because that gives us plenty of data without running it out to redline if it is lean. If this one is still off, we'll figure out a game plan from there.

Re: In need of a k24 basemap for stock 8th gen
In all the time I've been doing this, I don't think I've been so relieved to see a datalog more than that one. Haha. I think we've got it fixed, that one looked really good and everything makes sense. Man what a relief, though I will hold out my full relief until this next datalog. I was starting to feel really bad about having you buy a sensor and how I was going to make it right for you financially.
If you don't mind, I know it's late, can you take this next one for a drive real quick so I can sleep tonight... This is the same 10* cam angle with vtec down at 4000. You can shoot for a ten minute datalog, and get a third gear pull from 2500-7500. If this one looks clean, we're definitely on the right track and I can stop stressing on it.
You're welcome for all the help, I enjoy helping you guys so it's a guilty pleasure. I'm just glad we're on the right track, and can't wait to see the next datalog. Hopefully you have some time tonight, if not, no big deal.

Re: In need of a k24 basemap for stock 8th gen
Okay, we're officially back on track that one looked great. So we're good to keep moving ahead, and I can sleep tonight now. Haha
Here is the next one. We will now move to the 15* cam angle with vtec at 5500. Shoot for the 20 minute range again for this one like we were doing before, and the WOT pull in third gear. You don't have to do it tonight, but if you want to you can. Now that I know everything is looking good and the old sensor was bad, I feel a lot better for tonight.

Glad it's feeling good. Everything still looks great, I think all my fears are gone and the sensor did the trick. The injector duty cycle looks as it should, which is great. I'm so relieved, haha.
Here is the next one for tomorrow. Still the 15* cam angle again, with vtec at 4000. Take it for the same type of datalog and driving style tomorrow and we'll see how it looks. We only have maybe four revisions after this one before we blend everything out and you get to see the final product. So we're almost there.
