How exactly are you measuring the voltage when cranking?

I have a aftermarket gauge im not sure what it is connected to.
But also looked at what the ECU is reading as well. I also was using the KPRO to see what the ECU was seeing and it didnt drop below 11.2 last night but when i would disconnect the laptop. i would get hte error.
Also, when i was getting the CEL i couldnt do anything at all when i plugged the laptop in i had to turn the car off first then plug in the laptop cause it wouldnt let me connect to the ecu. When i did connect my laptop to it with it running and the code on it would start acting very funny like idle harsher rev kinda float in the rpms. '
Turn the car off and leave the laptop plugged in none of that would happen. I don't understand.

Have you done this?:

You need to measure the voltage at the ECU using a multimeter to see what is actually happening when cranking.

That is not the same thing. You need to use a multimeter and actually check the voltage when cranking. You have said that it does not get the error if you have the USB connected when cranking.

I think the daughter board is fried.
When i bought the car the kpro was already installed. Looks like something might have gotten on the board.
Ill show you a pic when i get home. This has been so frustrating!
If it is fried what has to be done?

alright, i will when i get off work.
The only spots that are different are the 3 that have black burnout looking Cells. everything else is normal.
I removed the daughterboard to make sure it was seated correctly and that the connectors weren't loose and everything was tight there as well.

I didnt get time to take a pic of it last night My father in law broke his ribs so i was busy with that.
Also, is the reason you are wanting a full size pic to make sure its a real kpro? cause that was the first thing i checked and
it is indeed genuine. It just appears that it was overloaded or there was a surge.
what does that r15 cell do on the daughterboard?

No I'm not checking if it is counterfeit, but anything out of the ordinary.
