Thanks. I just wanted to know that someone is researching. I wish I could provide you with my vehicle as the issue seems to be pretty consistent. I've been trying to do my best to give you guys every example I can think of to help the process.

Let me know if you have enough info or if you would like to see my logs.

Thanks.

Here's a clip from a log I took this morning. This was towards the end of my drive and I noticed the speedo massively flucuated (+10mph, -20mph and back). I cropped the log so that I could upload it so I apologize if I crop any of the data. I tried to capture just the incident.

We have made a change to a component inside the ECU and this is in testing. The two 2005 cars which are local to us are not driven every day and it is taking some time to get feedback. 640k - contact us if you wish to send in your ECU so that we can alter it and perhaps we can sort something out.

Thanks. Can you provide more details as to what this component is/does. Who should I speak with at Hondata to continue the process.

Thanks again for all your help.

Ask for Matt or email sales@hondata.com. It is a different value voltage divider resistor for the speed sensor output. We don't really want people changing the component themselves as the chance of damaging the ECU is high and would prefer to perform the modification at Hondata.

Thanks. I'm only trying to get the details - not the schematics. :D I'll leave that to you guys!

I'm not sure who is who there but I just spoke with Matt and he seemed reluctant to release any information in regards to this. I would like to help in resolving the issue. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. Feel free to email me.

Thanks.

I had not yet been made aware that of the entire situation. Please email me at support@hondata.com and I will have you send the ecu to us to be altered and then you can test it. Sorry for the confusion.

FYI - I sent an email yesterday from my work account.

Thanks.

Bringing this thread back. I've since upgraded to the v15 Kmanager and have noticed my speedo jumping all over the place. It happens alot now, whereas before it would only happen once in a while.

I haven't taken my ECU out because I'm worried about not being able to start my car with OEM ECU, but I still want to send it in.

The speedo is more erratic now than ever and I'd like to get this fixed. Do you guys still think its the voltage regulator?

If you have not sent the ecu for the change, then that is more than likely the problem.

I just tried to start on the stock ECU with no luck, which means that I'll be without a car in order to send this in. Whats the soonest that it can be completed?

Am I doing any damage to the car with the speedo acting the way it does? I have a hard time leaving it in cruise control but I rarely get to use it anyway.

Thanks.

I think k-pro determines what gear the car's in based on the speed vs rpm and knowing the gear ratios... I'd imagine per gear trims of fuel and ignition may go nuts. I'm no exper though ;)

Hmm.. Well, I haven't noticed it recorded in the VSS of the datalogs, but whenever I tune by acceleration, I seem to have issues when my speedo jumps.
