Hi All,

It's been a while since I've got my tuned and what I'm noticing is that my car has a hard time on cold start when I'm on full E85 on the HFS+. If I'm on strictly 91 or 93 no cold start issues. I wonder if that's normal or if anyone has similar experience? I did change my spark plugs when I got my tune and check my ignition coils. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

I have observed the same issue but I tweaked the Ethanol Fuel Adjustment (ECT) table a bit and it seems to have helped with these values. I have been running 60-65% ethanol blend for the past few weeks and on that it starts fairly normally. I haven't been on full E85 since implementing these tweaks but my tank is close to empty so I was planning to fill up with pure E85 so I will see if the number of injections table suggested by Hondata helps further.

The number of injection table is more useful cranking and then for the first couple of seconds after starting. The ECT table is useful for the first minute or so of running. So if the engine starts and then stumbles once you try and drive it, look at the ECT table. If the engine doesn't start then adjust the number of injections table. Normally you don't need the change the ECT table but you do need to change the number of injections table as above.

try something like these values in these tables. They seem to work pretty well for me (I also have HFS+ with the cam). They may need a bit of tweaking to be perfected but for me they're "good enough"

actually since posting that I changed my mind on the ethanol_fuel_adj ECT tables. Just try it with the updated injections table I suggested
