Nice, congrats. Yeah the warm idle is set at 850, the cold start should have gotten up near 1500 or so, depending on how hot the ambient temperature was. Not sure how high the coolant temps got, but the fans are set to come at 199* F and turn off at 194* F just like OEM. Let me know how it goes tomorrow. At least you got it running, that can be half the battle sometimes.ficohernandez1994 wrote: Mon Aug 16, 2021 9:21 pm I was really nervous about starting it but I got it all together today and just started it with this basemap thanks so much! it started up all good, just stayed at 900 rpm at idle not sure if that was part of the base map? I just let it idle for a little and it started to warm up a little to much so I shut her off. That's something I'm going to deal with tommorrow haha I'm beat from today! Haha

Yeah the fan was on and still got a little warm I need to see if maybe it was the thermostat hope it's not the water pump 🤦 that would be a pain! But I appreciate your help! I'll keep you posted once I finally take care of the problem.

Problem fixed! It was just the radiator cap luckily! I let the car sit running for 20 minutes today Temp was good and the motor sounds good....But I am beating myself up for this right now🤦. None of my gears go in! I have a big feeling that I was in a rush and installed the clutch plate in backwards 😠. So it looking like the motor will come back out so I can fix that. Thanks for helping though!

Man what a bummer. Well, at least we're on the right track otherwise. Just keep me in the loop and we'll get it lined out. Good luck man, I wish I had some tips or something to try, but I'm not much on the mechanical side. I know you can swap the clutch without pulling the engine, but it sounds like you're plenty capable of doing it either way.

Yeah I can help you with it. Being that type of setup, we would have to tune it the proper way which is tuning each cam angle individually and then blending everything out. Barring any mechanical issue or something, it would probably take 10-15 revisions to get it dialed. I also don't know exactly what the rev limit would be on that setup, seems a lot of people have differing opinions, so I would need to know what you were planning on for a rev limit. Either way, go ahead and make your own thread so we can discuss things and not use someone else's thread.mountain_fg2 wrote: Tue Oct 12, 2021 2:54 pm hey there i saw you where a great help to the other guy my set up is a bit similar. I saw you were a great help to those guys! Would be able to help me out by chance? I also need a base map for my 2008 Honda civic Si which is k24 swapped it is completely stock other than an upgraded clutch and light weight fly wheel. It is currently my daily and drives alright but it definitely doesn't drive as good as I think it should do to the engine having bigger displacement and etc... The k24 is stock and am using evrything from k20 other than the oil/water pump I believe.EFICU wrote: Tue Aug 17, 2021 9:05 pm Man what a bummer. Well, at least we're on the right track otherwise. Yeah we can take a look at it. Go ahead and make your own thread and give us some info on the setup, which K24 and all that. Also are you using the K20 head, or full K24 out of something? If you are using the K24 as a complete package, and using a K20 basemap, we need to get you on something soon because the K20 calibration is asking for more cam angle than the K24 cam gear will allow. So that alone would throw the tune off right there.HurtBiZaRrO wrote: Tue Dec 07, 2021 6:16 pm I saw you were a great help to those guys! Would be able to help me out by chance? Also, if you have a datalog ypu can post showing some driving that would be helpful too. Along with the calibration you’re running. Overall though, just give some context to your setup and calibration in your post so we can see where we’re at.

Hello! I’m also in the same boat I just blew my motor and I’m swapping a stock k24 out of a tsx and my hondata just arrived today I will be going to the shop on Thursday taking hondata and my post crv mount and the engine should be mounted around thursday and Friday and I have no idea how to tune I would just like a basemap to get the car stated and running 😭😭 it’s a comepletely stock motor with stock everything from the 8th gen including the rbc manifold no header or exhaust or intake or nothing all bone stock I would greatly appreciate any help :)ficohernandez1994 wrote: Sun Aug 15, 2021 11:22 pm Hello,
I have a 2011 civic si which the motor blew 🤷 🤦but I ended up finding a jdm k24 I believe it is out of an 04 or 05 tsx. I tried uploading a basemap on flashpro for a tsx and it will not let me. Does anyone have a base map for an all stock k24? All I have is headers intake and a 72mm throttle body. Any stock basemap for a tsx is greatly appreciated!
Re: In need of a basemap for a k24 in a 8th gen civic si
Not sure if your post is aimed at the OP or me perhaps, I can help you with it if you'd like. It wouldn't really be a basemap scenario that I can just send you and be good to go. It would need to be tuned properly by going through each cam angle one by one, then blending out the tables. This will take roughly 10-12 revisions to get it dialed for you. The first revision would be able to start and run, but it will take some tuning to get it dialed and running great.Sebastian wrote: Mon Jan 31, 2022 10:36 pm Hello! Yes I would definitely need the help 😭😭 I have no idea what I’m doing can I reach out to you when I have the engine in the car hooked up and all?EFICU wrote: Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:36 amNot sure if your post is aimed at the OP or me perhaps, I can help you with it if you'd like.
