Upload the tune and create a normal driving datalog after you fill up with 93 octane fuel.

Thanks Ed,
I'll try and do that this afternoon.

I noticed the VTEC point is at 8000, doesn't that need to be closer to 5k

Ed,

Here is the datalog on your calibration.

It idled at stoplights at 1600 rpm, and 1300 rpm

This is part of the tuning process. You first tune the low cam tables at each vtc angle and then you work on the vtec side.

Another option is to dial in the tune you are currently running. The tune is less in depth but it takes far much more less time.

Ah, that makes sense.

It is odd that the idle is fluctuating that high. Have you double checked for vacuum leaks in the event that anything got loose.

In the previous file the IACV was disabled. I have re-enabled it. This might help with the idle but I would still double check for vacuum leaks. It is not recommended to tune around mechanical issues. I have not made any adjustments to the tables as we need to sort out this hunting idle issue first.

Ed,

I checked for leaks before doing this datalog.
Didn't find anything obvious, which is frustrating. Brake booster seems OK, did a leak test.

Idle seems much better with the IACV enabled.

Mike,

Load the new file and create a normal driving log with 1 WOT pull. Make sure the WOT pull is in 3rd gear and it is from 3000rpm to 75000rpm. Also, the WOT pull should be on a flat road with no hills or on ramps.

Ed,

3rd gear pull is near the end of this DL. It took me a little while to find a good flat spot here in the rolling hills of KY.

It threw a VSS code, which I assume is just having the wrong speed sensor selected.

Mike,

I switched the VSS setting to normal. I did notice on the datalog that the gauge was stuck at 4mph. I made some fuel modifications and i had to pull some timing up top. How low did you run the tank before you filled up with 93 octane?

Load the new file and create the same type of datalog. We are moving to the 10 VTC table.

Ed,

Here is the DL, pull is around 6min mark.

There was still a quarter tank of 87 octane, so its probably between 91 and 93.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Load the new file and create a similar datalog. I had to remove timing up top again. Mixing the fuel lowered the octane so it can not run as much timing. Moving to 20 VTC now.

Ed,

Here is the datalog, pull is at 10min mark. Added 3 gallons of 93 to the tank before this one, hopefully that brings the octane up a lil bit.

FYI I will be away from the car for a couple weeks starting tomorrow.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

No worries we will pick up where we left off once you get back to your car. Load the new file and create a datalog per the previous instructions. I had to remove timing again. I hope the car reaches 93 once we get to the VTEC side.
