I would look over the map sensor and the wiring for the map sensor. The car is reading about -4 vacuum at idle and then reads upwards of 7 psi of boost.

It is a new map sensor. I just replaced the 4 bar with a 1 bar.
I had to extend the wiring. I'll confirm that I didn't screw something up.
Thanks.

It also has the kpower intake
https://kpower.industries/collections/i ... e-manifold
a B series 74mm throttle body from Blox. A B series TPS.
It has a compact 4 to 1 header with short 1 3/4" primaries going into 2 1/2" exhaust then down to 2 1/4 to get around the frame.

Ok. There was some issue with the wire in the loom. Pos and Neg were ok, but the signal had no continuity from the MAP to the ECU. I ran a new wire and the car runs smoother. Injectors are not in the red any more.
But it is now hunting. It starts and the idle goes up to about 2000 then it drops and hunts. If I try to give it gas, it backfires through the intake. I can see a puff of smoke come out of the air filter.
See attached datalogs.

Thanks.

Also. I unplugged the IACV and it would do short idle hunting blips instead of the long ups and downs of the data logs above.

The MAP sensor is reading better. Have you checked the car for Vacuum leaks?

Going to check in the morning. I didn't have anything to spray on it.
All of the gaskets are new and I torqued all of the fasteners to spec.
When the idle is going up and down and you look at the fuel table, it seems to go rich and lean. Not sure if the base map I am using is a good one or not. It was the K24 with intake and exhaust map that came with the ECU.
The backfiring through the intake concerns me. As does the fact that when it is hunting, I can't use the pedal to get the rpm up and steady. it just raises the surge rpm, but still goes back to idle.

How far open should the throttle body be for the throttle stop screw?

I normally make the car idle at around 500rpm with the set screw and then the IACV can assist with idling.

Even with the throttle stop backed out, I can see a little light around the butterfly when I hold it in front of a flashlight. Are they supposed to seal off completely? If so, I think I need a better one.

My issues are from broken wires in my wiring harness.
MAP sensor - power and ground were good. Signal wire had no continuity.
TPS - power and ground were good. Signal wire had no continuity.
High idle - no vacuum leaks. But I plugged my IACV and all of a sudden, the idle dropped to about 400. Brand new IACV. Maybe it also has a wiring issue and it is constantly open. Or it is stuck open. Or it is just a crappy part that leaks. I'll get to that later. For now, it is running great with the port plugged.
Thanks to Ed for the help.
Now we can actually get on with tuning...

I’m glad I was able to help you troubleshoot. Now it’s time for the fun part.

Here is a base tune. Datalog the car at idle and normal driving.
