Well this guy is trying to charge for the information saying he has spent to much time and money to give the information for free and wants to charge you $100. This guy shouldn’t even be on this forum if that was me I would’ve belong to prevent someone else having to go through the same problem and costing them as much as I have spent a fortune and still haven’t got to the root of the problem.

So I suppose no one has sorted this issue out yet

any update about this problem, i have the same problem.....
parts changed timing chain, tensioner hidraulic....
recently oil pump.....

I got it sometimes when i want to hear the mhi spool sound :) If i push the gas pedal a little hard at lower rpm the ecu throws this error code.I think its because of the Turbo or wg something like that. Maybe this helps to change your focus.

Type R with the famous death code ☠️ P0016. The only way to fix it is to put the new intake cam and give it welding points, so it doesn't run again. and the reason why it happens is because of an over rev. Oh for fail stick shift

So the only way found to fix this code is a new intake cam and welding points? What are welding points? And should I replace my timing chain, and tensioner?

Anyone found a better solution them replacing the intake cam?

And if not, what do you.mean by welding points please? Thx

Hi man, can you help me? I'm from Brazil and I have a Honda FK8 recently purchased. It happens that on a track day a gear error resulted in code p0016, after which the car had reduced power and difficulty starting the engine. I found on the forum that you had a similar problem and managed to solve it, could you help me with the diagnosis?
