I’ll try with the battery.
If it was the alternator, I would drained my battery long time ago.

Could be the alternator, battery or any wiring in between.
The weird thing is that I plug my stock ECU and no battery light. Could it be a ground location?

Its hard to say what it might be if the ECU works on a different vehicle. All you can do is use the process of elimination.

You must rule out one thing at a time, swapping in known working things from other vehicles if needed.

I would assume it’s related to just my car but it’s more then just me that has this problem I called Hondata and they were dumbfounded as well they thought it was because my software was outdated which is wasn’t but it’s driving me crazy that the battery light on.
I do have a question to who all Have the Kpro ecu with battery light on. Do you guys have replaced alternators? If so are they oem? Because I think I may have figured it out but I need more testing to be done because I notice A LOT of rsx owners have this problem with Kpro

Hey spunk did you guys ever get this figured out? I’m having this issue now after installing Hondata. I have searched and have not found anyone’s fix. Everything seems to be in order. Alternator output is within specs. Battery tested good. Grounds all checked out and cleaned. Only comes on with this hondata ecu in. Installed back into the 05 rsx it came from and light is not on. When I put my stock ecu in my 06 rsx the light is not on as well. ONLY when the ecu with hondata is installed then I have a battery light on.

Good morning guys. I just recently installed a V3 on my sons 2005 RSX Type S. As soon as I fired up the car the Battery light came on instantly and has been on as well. Kpro display is reading normal at idle @14.2 volts even with battery light on. Did we ever figure out the fix for this issue?
Thanks, Ed
