Hondata - Mike is right about the throttle logic sucking for overrun conditions. It's "nice" for daily driving as it creates the appearance of a higher throttle response vehicle during normal light driving -- but this is all an elusion that can be tuned into the race cals by making the throttle tables 1:1. Granted I haven't seen it as exaggerated as on Mike's car, but it's there and everyone that I tune using a Civic cal complains about the added rev hang -- if you're going to pidgeon hole us into these calibrations, FIX THE PROBLEM.

To compare the "Race" cals vs the Civic cals, the Race cals are a lot closer to what's programmed in the exposed throttle table -- where as the Civic Si calibrations seem to do WHATEVER they want, and on throttle lift off the throttle plate hangs open a LONG TIME.

Example of Civic calibration not matching throttle...
throttle_fail.png
Civic Si cal -- takes almost a FULL second to close the throttle plate to 9%.
throttle_fail2.png
Here's a "race" cal -- throttle plate is at 8% nearly the moment the throttle is released (it's like .1 second after lift off).

I'm contemplating telling every single person that complains about the Civic Si cal rev hang to just contact your support department because I'm TIRED OF THE PROBLEM.

Thanks Vit. I've tried EVERYTHING!! It seems like the throttle plate is following the "clutch in, off throttle rolling idle" causing the throttle plate to not close properly. It's the most annoying thing I've dealt with to date besides the warm/hot cranking issue. I'm seriously thinking of going back to the race cal and just leaving my gas cap loose because the car ran great other than the wandering idle issue and the gas gauge fluctuation.

I would like my rev hang to go away as well. Thanks.

Hondata hello.

I Acura 2010. Hondata Flashpro.
The problem is the same.
Generates an error coded P0128.
As a consequence of an increased consumption of gasoline and incorrect operation of the car.
Please resolve this problem.

Please follow the posting guidelines. P0128 does not put the ECU in any sort of limp mode - it just is a test for the correct operation of the thermostat.

Regarding the rev hang.....did you guys tuned the Overrun Fuel Cut Delay table?

Yes we did. But that us just a band aid for the real issue which is the throttle plate doesn't do what the pedal is telling it to do. I can see a small difference but my plate doesn't respond for a whole second before it even closes. That's ridiculous.

Dear Hondata!
Currently, I am a happy owner of two non-defective thermostats and one "eternal" error P0128.
I understand that the problem is not in ECU, in a program which works with him.
The problem You have eliminated the Civic Si 2012-well done.
What bothers You resolve TSX in 2010? Here until well done.
When this message brain pours gasoline as a fireman, sparing no water in case of fire.
At the gas station I become a VIP client.
Correct the problem. And it will be all happy

Liss SPb - you will need to tell me what vehicle / ECU / FlashPro you have.

I also have this issue on a "Hybrid" map (as I was told to run because the Race calibrations are unsupported). It's easily shown on my wide band display when I let off the gas. It goes LEAN/AIR a full second after I let off. The injector cut off times were somewhat difficult to tune because of this.

Dear Hondata!
I'm sorry, but now at the airport, I'm leaving on vacation.
Be back in about a month. I without the problems will send You the number of the ECU and FlashPro.
I hope by this time You eliminate the problem.
Thank you

No comment on the throttle issue from Hondata? Is there any possible fix fir this or maybe start supporting the race calibrations again. The race cals were much better for overall control of the car I think. The throttle is the main connection between you and the motor so if it works like poo it makes me feel like my car is running like poo.

The throttle control is fairly complex and it will take a lot of time to narrow down the problem you are getting.

Ok. Thank you for the response. I just wanted to know if you guys had any plans to look into it and fix it. Thank you!!

Thank you for acknowledging this issue, it is greatly appreciated.

BTW, if it's any help, the 9th gen ECU's are not exhibiting this behavior, they drop to 9% TPlate within .2 seconds of throttle lift off.
