yes i have switched them, same issue. ill check out the hoses

all the lines have been replaced and its no different. any other ideas?

Compare hose connection according to diagram Boost control solenoid installation, remove top wastegate hose and see if you are getting pressure at port 2

yea i ran them the correct way, but i guess i can just disconnect that line and see if i can feel air being pushed out. is that what you are referencing?

also, can anyone direct me to the correct part number for the mac solenoid, i am going to switch to it anyways

Ok here are some pics of the routing so you can see if I'm an idiot. Also, I started the car with the top wastegate line disconnected. Obviously i could only free rev it with no load and no boost but it did not appear to have vacuum or pressure at all. Would load or boost be needed?

As you can see the pressure line is coming from the compresser housing where it splits off to the solenoid (side with only one fitting) and to te bottom of the gate. The other line runs from the top of the gate to the other end of the solenoid (fitting offset on that side, the one in middle of that side is venting to atmosphere). Correct?

Yes you need boost to see if the solenoid is delivering pressure to the top of the wastegate.

well im officially a dumbass. one of the couplers between the turbo and IC had pushed the pipe out just a tad and was leaking boost. i know im dumb, oh well. anyways, now area are you saying i need to set it up at 100% duty cycle, normally open to start tuning it. this would theoretically make it back on wastegate pressure if it is working correctly yes?

Do not use a normaly open valve!! Using that destroyed my engine a year ago ;(
So go buy a normaly closed.

just trying to make sure with these being a normally open solenoid that i should still be putting in 0. i tried this last night and it resulted in a massive rush to boost cut with it set at 0 when that should have been wastegate pressure yea?

According to help files, yes

There are two types of solenoid - normally open and normally closed. A normally open solenoid (like the GM solenoid) will give maximum boost at 0% duty. Note that in this case SManager inverts the duty cycle so that in SManager 0% duty cycle is minimum boost, and 100% duty cycle is maximum boost. It is important to set a boost limit as a solenoid or wiring failure will result in maximum boost.

well i believe the wastegate is/was stuck. it was still hitting boost cut at 20psi very quickly and i disassembled the gate to find a 9 and a 6psi spring in there, so it should have only been 15psi. made sure i manually actuated it with it out and reassembled together. will test again tonight
