It's from 12-9, but I think around 1 or so.

Amsoil tranny fluid is on it's way. Can't wait to see if it makes any difference.

Sounds good. I will see what I have going. I'll definitely try to get out there and see your runs.

Should be worth it, Amsoil makes some good products. Do you have an EM1 clutch master or are you running the stock clutch master?

The Amsoil works to good on my best pass, I throw it out of gear at the end of the 1/4 and and it fell into a lower gear. Oooops, the hondata saw over 9900 rpm. I did only 3 runs with a best 14.6. I wish I had brought the laptop, it looks like should leave with more rpm and that 1/2 shift. I might have lost a 1/4 second there. Might go to Sonoma raceway on Wednesday if it's open. Sitting and waiting my intake temps were hitting 130*.

I can't believe I forgot about this today, I'm sorry. A couple times today I felt like I was forgetting something, and now I know. Haha. Yeah the datalog looks good. Sitting there idling is definitely doesn't help, but not much you can do. I would recommend having your hood up as long as you can to get the hot air out and then get to the line as quick as possible. Kinda scary on the shift where you went to 9900, let's not do that again. How late in the night does Sonoma go? Might try to get the coolest temps you can.

Just looking at my data and the tires fully grabbed at 3300. What would be good to launch at, I would like it to catch closer to vtec. How do you set traction control, haven't looked into it much.
Also, I was looking at the tune, shouldn't the secondary O2 sensor be turned on?
And should I run the MAP sensor that came on the new throttle body?

It would all depend on your tires, pressures, and track prep. Since you were at Sacramento, track prep was probably terrible. You'd have to play with it, you can change the launch control RPM through the steering wheel controls while you're at the track to try different RPMs.

You don't want the rear o2 on, but you can if you want to. I have found having it on can cause some issue with the AFR during some driving scenarios. If you do want it on, check the box and then run a datalog to make sure there are no issues.

No, keep the MAP sensor that was already on your car.

Ok, I set the rev limiter disengage to 16 mph, I have tried this before and it didn't seem to work. Do I need to leave traction control on? Just don't won't the brakes to engage.

Setting that to 16mph just means you can make the launch control kick in while doing under 16mph. We might have the anti lag settings turned on, go into the file and under rev limits, at the bottom on anti lag set all the values to 0. Then you can control the launch control RPMs. Don't leave VSA on, it's not designed for performance, it's only designed for safety.

To use traction control, you have to buy a traction control module from Hondata for $750 or so. Then it can control the wheel spin how you want. For now to control wheel spin, you have to modulate the throttle with your foot, old school style. To find an actual RPM that will launch without wheel spin or bogging is very difficult to find.

What's your thought to the AFe Power header with cat? I have been look at it. It's the only one I have seen with a cat.

I don't have any experience with that one. Makes a little nervous how it's all welded with no connections. What made you think about swapping out the manifold now?

If you want to open it up some without making a huge hassle for yourself, I recommend the Berk Technology cat pipe. https://berktechnology.com/product/bt1101-hfc-met/

If you want an actual header, I would go with the K-Tuned header and have an HFC welded into the connection pipe they come with. https://k-tuned.3dcartstores.com/8th-K2 ... p_294.html . This would give you the best of both worlds, and if the cat fails or something it's a much easier fix than the AFE. As a California guy though, I would probably go the Berk HFC route to make things easier on you every two years.

I would just like to play with a stock header and cat setup, but not sure where to get a spare incase I mess up mine. I just like how it's built, the end looks like it might neck down a bit, so I could reweld a 3" collector and eventually move up to a 3" exhaust. I do have a bunch of tall jackstands, so it won't be to bad. Plus I thought I saw somewhere they were trying for CARB sticker?
