Bluetooth won't connect - Kpro4

Post by S2K-F8 »

I cannot get my phone to link to my Kpro4 via bluetooth. I have tried both default pass codes (0000 and 1234), but it just won't connect. Also, when I open up the Hondata app on my phone, click the lightning bolt to connect...I get anywhere from 10-15 Kpro options to click on

Advice please

Thanks,
Scott-

What sort of phone is this and what version android? Were you pairing from the Hondata app for the phone bluetooth settings? You may need to remove all the ghost KPros from the bluetooth device list.

In the K-manager software with the USB connected go to the K-Pro button at the top and then click on the Bluetooth tab. What is the pin number that is set for Bluetooth there?

Phone is a Galaxy S5, android version 5.0. I tried letting the app turn on bluetooth, and turning on bluetooth and pairing that way...both ways ended in the same result.

The "ghost" Kpros auto populate when the bluetooth list comes up...no idea how I would remove them or which one would be the correct one to keep

I do not have a laptop, but I will be at my tuners this Saturday so should be able to find out then. Is the PIN # going to be the passcode I need to use to pair devices?

Yes. Default the PIN is the serial number of the system.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? Or get it fixed? I'm having this exact same problem with my galexy s5 and my s300 v3. It worked fine on my blackberry z10, but now that I got this new s5 it wont connect just like yours. Any info on how you fixed it, if you fixed it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

EDIT: Nevermind, I tried what the person above me said to try. I used the serial number written on the side of my Hondata box and it worked. Thanks

If your device cannot see any bluetooth devices, then you may need to contact the manufacturer of the device for support.
