no cel...not even when just turning the ignition on

Post by skunksol »

I've got a p28 that's been chipped with a socket by someone before I got it. I never really noticed it before but the other day I saw that my cel wasn't comming on when I jumped the wires to set the timing or even when I'm just turning the ignition on....Any thoughts on why this is? I did plug in a P06 i had sittin around and it does come on then so i know it's somewhere in the computer. Thank you!

Not sure but I have heard that some of the chips around override error codes basically to be forgiving for some of the jackleg swaps running around. Could be that it disables the cel altogether. Just a guess though

check your r77 in the ecu, it might be burned
you wont learn until you actually do it.
