I'm running stage 4 with boost on a b16a w 1988 pr3 ecu motor with 9:1 compression. I have put a 1000k on the motor and went to the dyno. I have mild cam work and head work done. Also have crower rods and srp pistons w 3.209 bore. We did about 15 runs and tuned every part of the curve. We spent over 3hrs on the dyno tuning with the wide band motec. Our a/f ratio's were 12.3 across the board, all the way to 9000 rpm running 15lbs of boost with the greddy 18g turbo kit.
321 hp at 7700rpm
231 torque at 7000rpm
my question is am I running to lean at 12.3 a/f ratio on 15lbs with 550cc injectors?I also want to go to 18lbs, what is good a/f ratio to run? I was told 12.3 was to lean for turbo cars.
a/f 12.3 with boost
i have heard that 12 to 13 for boosted cars is where yo wanna be.
i have heard of someone running 13.2 on 18psi. He says its a little risky but its doable. So i wouldn't understand why 12.3 is too lean.
