Problem with S300 v1

Post by JeffB. »

Hi,

Sorry I am very new to Hondata so this problem may be very obvious. I have a 93 SI HB B18C5 that I recently purchased that is running a P28 with S300 Serial#S300-3178. It ran well for the first month then started acting like it had a rev limiter set to ~3400rpm intermittently. A power cycle would clear the behavior. It has become more common and did not always clear with a power cycle now. I downloaded the current SManager and could connect but no data was recieved (rpm 0, tps 0....) although I could download the config while it was doing the rev limit issue at ~3400. The next time I attempted the logging worked fine and the rev limiting issue was not happening. Now I noticed the S300 is red when failing and green when working. Odder still is it will change from red to green if I touch the usb connector.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Jeff

I think the touching change was a fluke. I’m guessing I have a failing battery on the ram.

I would recommend that you upgrade your version 1 s300 to a version 3.

Details on upgrading can be found at: https://www.hondata.com/downloads/s300v ... e_form.pdf
