Re: S300 Hondata KM33 Regulator get hot
It is not the power regulator that it faulty - it is one of the other components that has shorted out and is drawing excessive current. Normally this is from the ECU ground voltage going over the 5V ECU power supply, which damages components. Replacing the power regulator will not fix this.
How did this happen? Was the S300 in the vehicle before it stopped working? Did you change any wiring in the vehicle before this happened?

Yes, the S300 was in the car.
It happen in this way: When i tried to turn on the vehicle it doesnt ignite, and appears the check engine light on. So i looked to the ECU and saw that it doesn't turn on. So when i took the ecu i feel hot that area, where is the regulator. Since that day im running with the stock ECU.
I don't change the wire in the vehicle. Even a put another ground to the battery to have better ground.
