i have rechecked all voltages since the first post and i was accidentally checking the wrong wires hence the wrong readings...everything is reading properly on my end...the motec 3 bar is reading 1.6 volts plugged in and 5 volts unplugged as it says it should...the IAT and ECT sensors both read properly also when plugged in and when unplugged with no resistance in the lines...this is a new wiring harness and as i said a few posts into the thread, i mistakenly was measuring the wrong wires for my readings in the first postHondata wrote:After clearing security a calibration must be uploaded, otherwise the car will not run. Also do not ground the ECU.
Connect the stock MAP sensor. Using the wiring diagram in the manual trace the wires to the MAP, ECT and IAT sensors, check from each pin in the ECU to the sensor and also that the pin is not grounded nor connected to the main relay output. The ECU must be plugged in and the ignition off.
e.g. using the manual find the wire color for the MAP signal (pin A19) and check from the MAP connector to the ECU. There should be very little resistance. Also check that A19 is not grounded (pin A19 to pin A4, pin A19 to A10 and pin A19 to pin A23) nor goes to +12V (pin A19 to pin A2).
Repeat for the other MAP, ECT & IAT pins.
Then plug the ECU in and with all the sensors disconnected check at the ECU for +5V between the ECU VCC pins and LG pins (check all of them). Plus the sensors in and check that there still is +5V at the VCC pins.
If you notice anything strange then investigate further - if the MAP sensor is producing the wrong reading so you should try and determine if it is the MAP sensor, the wiring or a software setting.
My guess is that a sensor is pulling one of the VCC outputs to ground and damaging the ECU voltage regulator, or some other part of the harness is grounding an output.
the ECU exhibited the exact same behavior on a brand new EP3 that i tested it on...i don't see how this could be an issue with my car...you should be receiving the ECU today as i sent it on monday with 2 day shipping...i talked to matt on the phone a few times and he just told me to send it in
i seem to be having the same problem as 02silversihb here

i am able to download, but when i do it gives me total garbage numbers just as it did to him...
i really do not see how this could be a problem on my end...again, this is a new wiring harness and the ECU was tested in a brand new, bone stock EP3 and exhibited the exact same behavior...i went through the procedure in the helms and the IAT, ECT, and MAP are all reading properly and the new MAP sensor is reading properly according to motec...in my calibration i have selected the motec map sensor...i am getting identical readings at the ECU harness as i am at the clips for all of these sensors
