Options/Sensor Setup

Post by The Zedhed »

Hi All,

New to the forum so appologies if I'm on the wrong thread.
I've accidentally changed some settings for the MAP sensor under the 'sensor setup'
MAP sensor.png
I'm pretty sure the "/psi had different values in it.
So I've put -29 and 14444 in there to get the MAP to read somewhere near on the display but does this effect the actual MAP reading for the vehicle or just whats displayed? I've searched through the help files but not really found anything.
The car has a Hondata/Omnipower 4 bar MAP sensor.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

What are your units set to? Options menu -> Settings -> Units -> Vacuum & Pressure Units

Cheers Guys.
Jun43: but it changes what I see when were setting up boost control, I'm initially doing it live so we can build boost up gradually and now what I see is not what it was.

Hondata: They're set to MilliBar

I just need to know the values that should be in Display Min & Max as on idle it used to be around -27"/psi (I think) and now with my guessed figures in the pic its sitting at -20 so I've cocked up the scaling. I reselected the Hondata 4 bar MAP sensor hoping that this would reset but it didn't.

You set the units in options and then the range for the sensor. At the moment there is a mismatch between the units and range.

Perhaps the question is what do you want your MAP units to be?

sorry maybe I'm not explaining myself very well.
When I look on the display I have the MAP showing in "/psi ranging from -30 to +15. this is good for me.
But I accidentally changed the Options/Sensors MAP scaling "Display min and max" values (as per my pic) and can't remember what they were. Now I'm not confident the MAP gauge when I'm in display is correct because I can already see that on idle its ready -20"/psi when it used to be nearer -27"/psi.
I'm assuning there's some default values that should be in the Options/Sensors?
What does the above do as I can scale the gauges by double tapping them so I'm worried it'll be throwing out my whole fuel table?

Changing the units and/or range does not change the calibration in any way.

Again, what do you want the display units to be? You have them set to millibar but you're talking in inches vacuum and lbs boost, so I think they need to be changed.

Thanks for the help, got them all sorted out now.

First venture into tuning (D16 with Escort Cosworth turbo) and finding your software brilliant. I have an R35 on Syvecs which I DON'T tune! but thought I'd have a play with the little Honda. You're logging is so easy to read :-)
