FanC has quit working

Post by jsoman »

My FanC control has quit working. It used to turn the radiator fan on at 192.4 degrees f, and I also have a in-line radiator mounted thermal switch in parallel with FanC. My question is: does the ECU tri-state the driver for FanC when it's not at active low? I'm worried that the grounding of the thermal switch in parallel with the FanC driver might have blown this output driver.

Did you use a relay?

Yes, I do use a relay for the fan.

Couls you also answer my Q about the error codes posted earlier.

Thanks
