I have a K20Z3 engine and PNN4 Transmission from a 2007 Civic Si that I am currently installing into 1984 VW Rabbit and had a few questions in regards to wiring, ECU and specifically VSS applicability.
- I understand that the newer Kpro4 has the ability to accept multiple ranges of VSS inputs. Would the VSS output from this PNN4 transmission match that of the "2005-2006 RSX, S2000, TSX" listed in the Speed Sensor selection parameters of the Kpro4 or would it fall under the "Alternate speed input"? My hope is to be able to use this ECU without changing anything internally in the transmission. i.e 2002-2004 RSX-S tone ring and VSS.
- Does Kpro 4 have the ability to provide varying VSS output signals (pulses per mile) to work with non-Honda/Acura gauge clusters?
- Would the most cost effective solution to a wiring situation like this be to use a base model PND RSX Auto ECU and harness? Or is some Kpro4 functionality lost by using a setup like this, and you should probably just use a 2002-2004 RSX-S ECU and harness?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

There is no output from the ECU or K-Pro to operate the cluster. You would be better of with some kind of signal converter for this.

Re: K20Z3 and PNN4 Transmission Swap Kpro Compatibility
But Kpro4 does have the ability to use the 06+ Civic Si VSS directly for all of its management functions correct? Do you happen to know if the 06+ Civic Si VSS is the same as the other high hertz VSS's? This is my main concern.
Re: K20Z3 and PNN4 Transmission Swap Kpro Compatibility
Yes it has that ability, but it cannot output any signal to the cluster. All 06 and newer Civics use a high frequency VSS.
