Kpro Password on a Used Car

Post by BCNR33Zed »

Hi, I’ve bought a Civic with a kpro but is locked from the previous tuner. I’ve asked him for unlock the ECU but he don’t want to give me the Password.
How can I unlock my Kpro?

Thanks

What version KPro? It is an early KPro, then the ECU can be locked but not the KPro.

There is no password on the KPro. However, the ECU can be 'Protected' to prevent the calibration from being read back.
Ask the previous tuner for the calibration; if they don't have it or won't give up then you will have to start with a new calibration.

No, if the ECU has been protected then the calibration cannot be read from the ECU.
