Car stuck in limp mode and can't datalog

Hello, I wanted someone else's opinion on what might cause my car to be a pain in the ass. So I have a 1989 crx si with a b18c5 with s300 v2. I went to go turn on my car when the CEL was on and I couldn't turn on my car so I connected my laptop and tried to datalog but no live data would come up. I downloaded the tune that was in the ecu and it was all jacked up, had some crazy injector sizes then I re-uploaded the tune that was supposed to be on it and ran perfectly with it but it didn't work. Tried it last night again fidgeting with my cable from my laptop to the ecu, re-uploaded my tune and got it to work CEL went away drove it a while and it was fine, so I thought it was finally fixed by some miracle. Today I went to turn it on and same thing happened again, CEL is on and stuck in limp mode, tried the same thing from the previous night but failed. I wanted someones input on what could be the problem. At this point I think it's the ECU that's fucked up. I also thought electromagnetic interference could be a culprit but not too sure.

What is the serial number on the s300 board inside the ECU?

IT sounds like the internal battery has failed. Your only option is to upgrade to the new version 3 s300 which has more features and also does not have any battery that can fail over time.

So is my hondata s300 damaged if the internal battery is damaged?

Yes that is considered damaged.
