s300 v1 SMD capacitor specs
I have a v1 S300, serial 10,096, and the SMD c8 capacitor is damaged. Can you tell me the specs on it please so I can replace it and get back up and running again? All the caps on the board are unmarked.

What revision board is that? How did the capacitor get damaged?

The board says (r8), I imagine that's revision 8?
The other numbers on the board are: 1013 on left center, and top left is 66 and 94V0.
I don't know how the capacitor got damaged, but it definitely burned in some way. white cloud on the board around one edge of it, same edge of the capacitor is discolored, and it tests as bad.
there is no other damage anywhere on the board that I can find, So I'm assuming that is the only issue remaining

If the capacitor burned then it is a fairly good indication that the ECU ground voltage got elevated above the internal +5V supply. Electronics doesn't like that.
C8 is not critical - you can desolder it and remove it, but I suspect that as per above there are other components which may be damaged.

Found the problems. Some conductive corrosion between a few pins on the ftdi chip, and two pins on the processor had separated from the contacts on the board. After replacing the battery component, I cleaned everything and resoldered the processor and all is like new again :)
