Try connecting the ground to the ECU ground instead.

Hi Spunkster. Is this the ground wire going into the ECU itself or am I using the ground wire located on the thermostat housing?

Either should work.

So I connected the wideband's ground to the thermostat ground and it looks like it's reading everything correctly. However, there is a small delay which seems to show that the ECU is a bit slower than the gauge. Is this normal?

There will always be a slight delay as the wideband controller is getting the signal first then converting it and sending it to the ECO to be processed.
