New to kpro..

Post by lrd tuning »

Hi,
i have bought an integra dc5 type r JDM, which has come with a Kpro installed.
The cars spec right now is: gruppe m intake, js racing 70mm (i think) throttle body, RBC, Toda A3 cams, toda head gasket, solid fabrications header into 2.5 inch system.
the car originally came with a toda header and buddy club spec iv cat back to which it was apparently mapped.

since fitting the new header and exhaust the car seems a bit dull at lower revs, yet feels strong at higher revs and in vtec.
I have tried looking into the map on my kpro however it is secuirty locked, so im guessing that if i try and do anything with it i will need to erase the ecu and reload a .Kal that may closley matchh my cars setup?
is it worth trying and then playing around with settings or just wait until i can get to a dyno and get the car setup properly?

It is completely up to you, but it definitely needs some tuning to run right.

You will have to try the different ones to see which is best and safest. You should talk to your tuner and they should be able to help with a basemap to begin tuning from.
