B18B1 EJ6 question

Post by Brayx4 »

Hello all! I am very sorry if this topic has been covered. I did do a search on "B18B1 EJ6" and couldn't find anything. So my question is which tuner should I use? I am swapping in a B18B1 from a 1994 Acura Integra LS (DC4) and putting it into my 1996 Honda Civic CX Hatchback (EJ6). I know the B18B1 motor is OBD1, and I am currently in the process of converting the motor to OBD2. Is there anything Hondata offers that I could tune my car with? Thank you!

To use a Hondata system, you will need to use a compatible OBD1 ecu from the list at http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html. You can then use the Hondata s300 ( https://www.hondata.com/index.php?_route_=s300 ).

I should be converting to OBD1 instead? Or would I be buying just a conversion kit? Which ECU should I be using if I buy a conversion harness? Keep the EJ6 ECU, and convert to OBD2 and then use the conversion harness, or use the DC4 ECU? Sorry for all these questions. It's my first swap

There is no difference between an OBD1 and OBD2 distributor. You must use a compatible OBD1 ECU to use a Hondata system.
