Nitrous Control test

Post by zerobold »

I have a K24A2 with a JRSC that I am running water/meth injection using the nitrous controls in Kpro4. I would like to suggest a test feature for these controls to confirm correct wiring and function instead of driving it to find out. I'm sure I am not the only one who has thought of this but I've seen no chatter about it. I understand there would have to be a lot of disclaimers advising against the special kids that would test-spray their car standing still @ an idle but I think it would be helpful for a lot of people if used correctly. If it's a stupid idea or something not worth entertaining then so be it, just thought I'd offer up my idea to improve the system.

There is a pretty extensive DIY about this very topic on Clubrsx.com if you were not aware. I used that write up to install and configure water/methanol injection for my K24A2 JRSC RSX.

Thanks for the reply! I was not aware of this. I went searching for it but it seems that clubrsx and family are going through some updates and I can't find the thread. I'll keep an eye out for it. As for my set up, it is all installed and functional just had a thought. Hopefully when or if I see that thread it will have some good info I can use in the future! Can't wait to have it all tuned and screaming. Just ordered a set of 1300cc injectors and plan on throwing some corn at it too, maybe I'll be able to break 400hp...

Nice! Well, the site is definitely up and running. I just posted today lol...

Just google "clubrsx, water/meth" and the first two links give you all you need. I've decided to teach myself how to tune since my last dyno tune was meh. So far, I've completed my base map tune w/o meth injection since I swapped my JRSC inlet, switched from a 3.2" BP to a 3"BP (boost went from 5 PSI to 9 PSI) and had to redo my intake.

I'm now tuning meth injection and so far, it's going well. Car feels GREAT and learned a lot throughout the process.
