ECU for JDM H22A vtec?

Post by VicariousLuder »

Hi. I have a 92 prelude si.
It was originally an auto trans with US H23 non-vtec engine. ECU was P14.

We did a tranny swap to 5sp manual (97-00 accord) and an engine swap to an H22A JDM vtec.

We were told that the correct ECU to be using with the JDM vtec was P13 but we are having a bunch of problems with it. (it came chipped)

Can anyone possibly tell me the correct ECU/ECUs to be using?!?! (we have a spoon chip we would like to use if possible).

Can the P14 auto non-vtec be modified to work on manual vtec? (was told yes by some & no by others so I'm lhoping for clarification!!)

Is there a difference in ECUs for a US vs JDM vtec?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for any info. I really appreciate it.
Take care. 8)

You cannot use the P13 or P14 with a Hondata system. You will need to convert to one of the compatible OBD1 ecus from the list at http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html. You can then use the Hondata s100 or s200 system.
