Hello everyone, I am come from Hong Kong and driving Honda CL1 Euro R (year:2000)
engine spec:
-H22A engine
-H23A Cylinder
-CP Piston
-BC Cam
-BC Camshaft
-koyo Radiator
I got engine light and I have checked hondata mobile app it displayed IAVC Error "iavc was not multifunction " something like that
I have already change 3 wire to 2 wire sensor. (Which is ek9 sensor plug) and I found iavc seems not working.
Which iavc should I use for? Cl1 or ek9?
thanks a lot!
IAVC Erro Problems with engine light
Re: IAVC Erro Problems with engine light
Any 2 wire idle controller should work, but you will probably need some kind of adapter to bolt it on properly.
Re: IAVC Erro Problems with engine light
But my iavc did not any connect vacuum hoses/pipes... will it affect the iavc function? It just mounted on throttle valve and plug it on.Spunkster wrote:Any 2 wire idle controller should work, but you will probably need some kind of adapter to bolt it on properly.
Re: IAVC Erro Problems with engine light
There should be no vacuum hoses on an idle controller.
Re: IAVC Erro Problems with engine light
So that should be work if just it mount on the throttle valve?Spunkster wrote:There should be no vacuum hoses on an idle controller.

Update:hkgbmx wrote:So that should be work if just it mount on the throttle valve?Spunkster wrote:There should be no vacuum hoses on an idle controller.
I have cleaned my iavc and it looks working but sometimes RPM still not stable.
Situation 1: when normal drive and then press down the clutch pedal pull it to neutral after that rpm will drop almost died(it will happen in warm/cold car)
Situation 2: when full throttle down the gas pedal up to around 7300 rpm in first and second gear. After that put it to the neutral, the rpm the keep from 2000-3500 rpm up and down continuously. (it will happen when using "open loop") but when i selected "closed loop - stock sensor narrowband" same condition(full throttle, 7300rpm and then pull it to neutral) after that the rpm will keep 1000-1400rpm up and down for a while time(around 1min).
What are the problems? Please help! thankyou!
Re: IAVC Erro Problems with engine light
You should try the ECU on a known working vehicle and see if the problem follows the ECU or if it is specific to your vehicle. IF it is specific to your vehicle it may be the combination of parts, or a tuning related issue.
