Do you have the injector dead times set correctly for the injectors that you have?

You might also try using your ECU/s300 in someone else's vehicle and have them upload their calibration to your ECU when testing this.

I am not sure, again this tune was a carry over that the car had run on for years with no issues. Car has FIC 1000cc's, where would I find the correct dead times?

I do not know anyone with a car I could try using this ecu in. Hondata just upgraded my ecu. Would it not have been tested before they shipped it out?

We test it on the bench and try to retain your calibration but there is always a chance that your calibration has been corrupted when downloading from the old s300. You should contact your tuner to see if they can send you the original tuned calibration. If that is not possible then you may need to get it re-tuned.

The calibration was downloaded before the old S300 died. There does not appear to be anything wrong, or corrupt about it. The injector sizing is correct, fuel compensation for e85, and maps look fine.

The tuner does not have the original calibration.

By looking at the datalogs and calibrations, do you have reason to believe it is a tuning problem and not a mechanical problem?

I will continue to check for mechanical issues, to get it retuned I need to have the car towed 1.5 hours away, and if there is a mechanical issue they won't be able to tune it anyway.

Thanks,

I doubt it is a mechanical issue, it sounds like you just have a corrupt calibration and that is causing the issues.

Appreciate the feedback.

When I created a new base tune sized for my injectors it would not start. How can I acquire a driveable base tune so I can get it tuned?

I would recommend that you contact your tuner you plan to have tune it for assistance with a basemap to help you get it to their shop.

I may have resolved my issues. I confirmed that the calibrations were corrupted, some of the parameters had been changed or set to defaults, not sure which.

Here is what I did:

- Injector dead times. I could not find solid values to use for FIC 1000cc's, but from a couple of sources online and the values in Smanager for ID 1000's, I picked some numbers until the idle AFR's evened out.

- Erased ECU.

- Injector phasing. I noticed the values in my tune seemed odd. From left to right, top to bottom they were 360, 360, 480, 360. I changed them back to the original GSR values of 405, 405, 480, 450.

This is the order that I did these steps. After doing the dead times, the AFR's at idle were good but I still couldn't touch the throttle without it stumbling or dying. I then read that Hondata has had issues working with calibrations from older versions, so I thought clearing the ECU would give me a fresh start. It did not fix the throttle issue completely but after I noticed I could gently ease into the throttle and it would rev to about 3000rpm before stumbling. I then updated the injector phasing and it now revs perfectly.

Thanks for all the help!
