pnd auto ecu verify

Post by Jayenom »

Before anyone scoId at me for not searching the forum, yes I did searched the forum, and I could not find any thread of anyone having the same ecu #. I would like to know if the ecu that I have is k-pro-able # 37820-pnd-a63. The ecu will be used for a kswap application - mr2. If yes, then I will be submitting my purchase for an upgrade some time this week. And the other thing is that the auto pnd ecu doesn't seem to be an option for core under the drop down. Is it suitable as a core? Any leads will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

No, that ECU is not K-Pro compatible as it is from an 05 RSX.

Thank you very much Spunkster. If you don't mind me asking, I do have another dilemma and would truly appreciate some pointers. My next question concerns my k20 MR2 swap; Which ecu and harness would you suggest? I currently have a k20a3 that I plan on using and possibly turboing in the near future? I'd be happy with just 250whp considering the power to weight ratio and considering it'll being a daily. And so with that being said, I'd like to keep my ecu and harness cost under $800 if possible. Which setup would be more cost effective and yet compatible with the swap? I understand there is a technical information on the website regarding engine swap " KPro Alternative ECU for Engine Swaps". If I go with this setup, can I use a harness from an element or accord or does it have to be from rsx 02-04 manual/auto? Again, any leads will be greatly appreciated.

I would highly recommend that you use the 02-04 RSX harness and compatible ECU. I cannot say what will be most cost effective as that is not my area of expertise and I do not know what other issues you will run into in a swap of this type.

Thanks again. I will definitely go with that recommendation.
