Hi guys,
I have a problem with a Plx Vac/Boost with the 3map bar sensor integrated and I'm trying to connect it to the ecu (hondataS300V3). Does anyone running this setup?
I tried with D17 and D19 pins on my p30 ecu but the reading is totally off.
I tried as well to put it in the analog input but seems to work only for datalog and the map sensor does not work in the tables.
Can anyone help me?

Re: Plx Vac/Boost with 3 map sensor, hondata connection
Are you trying to use a pressure sensor as a MAP sensor?
Re: Plx Vac/Boost with 3 map sensor, hondata connection
no the plx module works as a map sensor as well... it has vacuum and positive pressure
Re: Plx Vac/Boost with 3 map sensor, hondata connection
You cannot use this as a replacement MAP sensor. You can only use this for datalogging pressure changes. If you want to change your MAP sensor you must use something like this: https://www.hondata.com/products/access ... ap-bseries
Re: Plx Vac/Boost with 3 map sensor, hondata connection
that was what I suspected... it can only datalog... :(. But what's the point then? why would someone add another channel of vac/boost in the datalog if you have already one (one that you suggested) ?
Re: Plx Vac/Boost with 3 map sensor, hondata connection
Spunkster are you absolutely sure that I cannot use it as a map? It has 0-5V scale, and if I put it in the D17 It reads but It has to be calibrated I think...
Re: Plx Vac/Boost with 3 map sensor, hondata connection
I would highly advise against trying to use this as your MAP sensor.
Re: Plx Vac/Boost with 3 map sensor, hondata connection
Finally I had time to give it a shot. Connecting the output from the plx VAC/BOOST unit to D17 on the ecu, and adjusting scalar and offset everything seems to work. I just have to retune the fuel map for the Idle I think, because now the "map" read exact the same as the gauge, while with the oem map sensor I had an offset with the gauge. In fact now it reads 22 vaccum while before it was around 20.
Does anyone know why Spunkster highly suggest to not use the plx as a map sensor? It doesn't make any sense to me... I'll update tomorrow with new tune
