Got a hondata kpro v4 which is a genuine unit I purchased directly form a dealer. Unit is installed in a base rsx auto ecu which is missing the vss input.
Rewired the vss white/green a18 to the vss input on the kpro board as instructed. Found a calibration setting with the alternate input selected which gives the correct speed on the alternate input in the sensors window. Problem is I am still getting a check engine light for vss code and the launch control does not see the vss alternate channel. Is there an additional setting somewhere that needs to be set for the software to recognize the speed input on the alternate channel ?

Re: Alternate vss input issue
I wired the red wire to a18 as instructed and selected the alternate kpro speed input radio button. Though those settings suggested did not work for this setup. It is a 01 civic with a d17. I ended up with a smoothing of 4 and revs per km of 410,000 which seems like a super high # but it seemed to give a speed close to the speedo. I am not getting a proper gear, the speed doesn't show up under vss, the launch control is stuck on if I enable it, and I get a cel after 10 min of driving or so
I'm wondering if has to do with the settings I choose but I honestly don't have anything to go off of since this is a d17 with kpro which doesn't appear to be a common configuration. Anyone have any idea's of things to try ?

Re: Alternate vss input issue
Have you input the correct gear ratios for the d17 transmission?
