Hi guys,
as title says, I`m new to Hondata. I have a Honda Civic EG6 VTi and I got this s300 v3 today and as I opened it, I immediately noticed that something is missing. There`s no USB cable and there`s no that one fat capacitor. That makes me doubtful about the whole package. The serial number of s300 is 38049. I did repeat several times to the official distributor that I want s300 v3 for my P30-G00 rectangular ecu and he sends me this, as far as I`m concerned, incomplete package. The reason why I think it`s not complete is that all videos on YouTube and all pictures on Google were showing all those parts that I don`t have. To make it more clear, I`m not complaining. I just want to know if this is all I need for upgrading and I can continue with mounting it or I need that capacitor and that cable too.
PLEASE, if anyone can help me with this issue, it would mean a lot to me. I can provide detailed photos of this set I`ve got if needed.
Thanks in advance.

Re: New hondata user and already have doubts
The capacitor is no longer included, but we do sell a complete capacitor replacement kit.

You can use any USB cable with it. Contact your dealer as the cable should be with it.

Thanks for reply. I contacted dealer and he immediately agreed to send capacitor and usb cable. Correct me if I`m wrong but I realized that capacitor is there for data logging and faster communication between ecu and lap top as the stock one isn`t capable for either of these.Spunkster wrote:The capacitor is no longer included, but we do sell a complete capacitor replacement kit.

Re: New hondata user and already have doubts
The capacitor is a reliability thing, and has nothing to do with speed. We have not included it for a year now.

Anyway, guy send the whole bunch of it as an excuse. Thank you very much for your help.Spunkster wrote:The capacitor is a reliability thing, and has nothing to do with speed. We have not included it for a year now.
P.S. Is it OK to ask something about a map in this topic or do I have to open new topic for that?
