Fuel pump not priming

Post by RobVang »

K20a2 motor into a 96 civic hb
Kpro v4 serial 40330
Version 4.3.1.0
37820-prb-A04 2068-301356 0G24
Software 4.3.1.0
Using oem rsx-s engine harness with rywire plug and play sub harness for dash.
Aftermarket parts: hybrid racing 3" intake, ktuned race headers, 3" exhaust, ktuned fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator. Walboro 255lhp fuel pump.

Purchased kpro from importparts.com on 9/9/15

Issue: the fuel pump primed at first attempt, the vehicle started up for 15 seconds, the car shut off, tried starting back up but noticed the fuel pump wasnt priming. I'm unable to load Calibration from k manager. K manager says online and ignition on. Failed to upload. Unable to erase ecu. Flashing red led light on ecu. Checked all fuse, replaced fuses and relay, grounded on valve cover like instruction stated. Verified good grounds on engine. Brand new battery with voltage checked at 12.8

Check your main relay and fuel pump relay wiring - it is common for either output to get wired so that the ECU tries to ground +12V, which burns out the ECU output. You also need to test the ECU on a known good vehicle to see if it is the ECU or vehicle that is the problem.
