I had my car tuned 2 weeks ago. Following the tune I filled up on my way back home (2 hours away). I drove the car a couple of times with no issues.
Driving the other night I was driving and drove it hard through 1st and 2nd and when I shifted into third my lean protection kicked in. since then I cannot go into WOT without it going lean. I took a quick log showing the issue of afr running high. It is showing a large correction in part throttle as well and a lot of negative correction at idle. I am thinking it is my o2 sensor, but I am not getting any codes.
attached is kal and log
I have contacted my tuner, but he is in the middle of moving across the country so he has his hands full right now.
my setup is:
k24a
DC3.2 cams
RBC intake manifold
skunk2 header
new acuity tps
new denso rsx-s map sensor
new denso o2 sensor (initially had the signal wires backward though)
Any help is appreciated

Re: Running lean after tune
It could be the wideband or the wiring for it.
Re: Running lean after tune
I checked the wiring and didn't see anything obvious. FYI All wires were soldered, so I don't think the connections are loose.
I replaced the o2 sensor and no change. The next step would be to get my AEM wideband installed and compare.
Injectors are DW600 FPR is AEM set at 50psi.
Do this appear like dirty injectors or fuel filter?
The only things I changed were:
New radiator cap, because the one on there during tuning was leaking at the top.
and the outside temp is about 30 degrees cooler than day of tune
the IAT corrections are right on par with what other people run.

Re: Running lean after tune
Have you done anything to the car since it was tuned?

1.New radiator cap,
2. fixed transmission(removed, new shift fork, reinstalled) only sensor from engine that was unplugged in this was IAT and I t is in correct position and reading correctly also removed and reinstalled intake pipe for this,
3.changed oil
Re: Running lean after tune
Since the datalog posted is not very long and only shows a cold engine, can you post a datalog of it fully warmed up and showing WOT?
Re: Running lean after tune
OK. update.
I replaced the fuel filter. Inspected the injectors, inspected the fuel pump.
Nothing worked.
I took two different logs.

Re: Running lean after tune
I'm sorry, but I don't see it going dangerously lean in the datalogs. You may have your lean protection settings set a bit to aggressively.
Re: Running lean after tune
The lean protection is set around 14.3. It may be conservative but target is still much lower than actual. And the fact that it is pulling fuel at idle concerns me. Especially since it was just tuned 2 weeks ago.Spunkster wrote:I'm sorry, but I don't see it going dangerously lean in the datalogs. I will investigate the fpr and get my external wideband hooked up tomorrow.
