PRA Ecu not switching o2 heater relay

Post by msc52 »

Having problems with the primary o2 sensor, using a K-tuned wiring harness, UK ep3 type r engine harness in a UK Dc2 Integra, Kpro 3 ecu.
I have changed the wires for UK narrowband, pinout as follows: pho2s+ ecu A6, pho2s- ecu A16 , phoshtc+ ecu A22 and 02 heater relay pin 87 , pho2shtc ecu A1 , pin 86 o2 heater relay to ecu E8 this appears to be where the problem is as it doesn't switch the relay. if we ground relay pin 86 or bridge pins 30 - 87 the heater error code on longer appears, o2/heater works and the car idles and we get a o2 voltage reading in k-manager we have confirmed readings using a standalone PLX wideband reads 14.7 a/f at idle if we un-bridge the relay it leans out 16 to 18 a/f on the wideband, has anyone had problems like this with pin E8 ?

I would recommend that you contact K-Tuned about your harness as it sounds like something is not wired correctly.

I have unwired the o2 sensor from the k-tuned harness (the k-tuned harness was incorrect) and wired it to your diagram(https://www.hondata.com/tech-k20-swap-wiring), am I right in thinking that pin E8 should pull to ground?

Are you trying to run a wideband using a PRA ECU?

No using a narrowband but also have a standalone PLX wideband not connected to the ecu just to check readings. Is there anyway in K-manager to manually switch the heater relay to check operation at pin E8 as at present pin E8 isn't doing anything.

Thanks
Matt

No, there is no test for this.

Have you got any ideas what the problem might be ?

If something was wired incorrectly, you may have damaged the ECU. You should try the ECU in a vehicle that you know everything is wired correctly and working.
