P006 on s2000 new install

Post by Pcc5001 »

I recently installed the k pro conversion in my ap1 s2000. I am getting an intermittent p006 code that says the primary oxygen sensor is slow to respond. It's averaging about 6 starts after I reset the code that it comes back. Could this be anything aside from the primary oxygen sensor? It seems strange that the oem computer never said there was anything wrong with it but now with the k pro it is not working properly.

Are you sure that is the error code? There should be one more digit.

I was just going off of memory on the actual trouble code. Apparently I forgot the code it's throwing. As soon as it pops up again I'll post back. I know it was saying the primary oxygen sensor was slow to respond.

It sounds like you have a failing o2 sensor. I would recommend that you try replacing it.
