Help kpro calibration file

Post by Sweatlounge »

How is everyone? I need some help here. I'm new to this and I don't know much about kpro kmanager or how to use is it. I just bought a swapped ek k20a2 2 weeks ago and been dealing with issues left and right. I swapped a centerfeed intake it had for a ported Rbc stock tb for now until I find a 70-80. But my problem is I'm using the original map the car had it was supposedly tuned but I don't believe it to be true I had to change out map sensor and recalibrate tps it was running shitty and I know it's been like that for a long time. Well I take out the kpro every night but for the last 2 days when I go to turn on the car the kpro doesn't even have a calibration. I don't believe that taking out the Ecu would reset it. So I don't know what's going on. Yesterday it did this and uploaded the map and it cranked over fine but today I tried to upload and I got messages saying kmanager crashed but I did finally get it to upload but the car still didn't turn on. It just cranks over and I know it's starving for fuel so I don't want to keep cranking. Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks

What is the serial number on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

There should be only one sticker on the K-Pro board with a serial number.

The calibration is not stored on the K-Pro, it is actually uploaded to the ECU itself. There is no way that the ECU can loose the programming on its own.

Has this been properly tuned?

Have you tried the ECU in a known working vehicle as it sounds like you might have a wiring fault that is causing your issues.

I purchased the car and had lots of little issues and I been fixing them. The tps and map were junk. But from my understanding the car was tuned before and the map it has is from that tune. But I didn't have an issue until about 3 days ago when I took the ecu out for the night the next morning I tried turning on and it just cranked and cranked so I connected the computer and tried to download to kmanager and it said there wasn't any calibration so I had to upload it and then it ran fine. Then later on that day I was getting home and the car started to shut off on my road and I had dump the clutch while in gear to keep it running but when I parked it shut off and I figured I'll check it out in the morning but the same thing happened kmanager said the ecu didn't have a calibration so I had to upload again.

Just got home had to download calibration because the ecu didn't have one. So what I tried doing was closing the app and opening it back up and trying to download it into laptop and this happens. Any ideas???

With everything plugged in and the key in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on send information to Hondata support. Include a detailed description of the problem.
