S300 is in a 1999 Honda Civic Si. The problem first started when I turned the key to II the check engine light turned on and S300 has a red light ON, then a few minutes would pass and the main relay would click and the S300 light green ON and the check engine light would turn off and the car would start.
I replaced main relay and ignition switch and the problem continues. A friend of mine disconnected the computer for a couple of seconds and plugged it back in turned the key and the car started no problem. My friend told me it can be a problem with the RAM in Hondata and i would have to send it in for repair. Please help bring my baby back to working conditions.

S300 V1 Problem
Re: S300 V1 Problem
It sounds like it could be a problem with the capacitors inside the ECU. I would recommend that you replace them first.

Re: S300 V1 Problem
Ok thanks !!!! I will send it out as soon as I can. Can I also get it checked for the battery back up RAM I found this when I was searching and would like to take care of any future issues ....
"Some S300s are 9 years old, and the battery backup up RAM has a life of 10 years, hence the question. The S300 V2 & V3 don't use battery backup up RAM, so don't have the problem. With heat the battery doesn't last as long. If the vehicle is left without battery power that decreases the battery life as well."
