0-5v ethanol content signal
Hey Guys,
Currently i am looking at a Innovate dual display gauge for ethanol content & Fuel temperature. It uses the GM ethanol sensor - however outputs a 0-5v signal for this measurement (not a raw frequency). Can the 0 - 5v signal be used for the flex fuel adjustment ( as the raw frequency signal would ?)

No, it needs to use the frequency.

Thanks mate !
No doubt this gauge takes the raw frequency in from the sensor. Do you think I could split this frequency output. One tail to the Hondata and the second to the gauge ?

One other question. The Sensor changes its PWM on the Frequency signal to represent fuel temperature.
Does the Hondata frequency input need to run on a fixed duty cycle - or will it be ok if it changes.

You cannot change the frequency in the software. What the sensor outputs is what it uses and deciphers the data accordingly.

No that's not what I mean.
The innovate ethanol sensor itself will Output a frequency going to the gauge. The sensor will also change the pulse width of the frequency to represent the fuel temperature.
Will this mess with Hondatas interpretation of the signal ?

The innovate ethanol sensor is probably exactly the same as the Continental sensor that almost everyone uses. You can share the frequency signal as long as the devices do not have too much combined pull up resistance.

Guys,
The innovate sensors changes frequency to represent ethanol content but also changes the pwm on that frequency to represent the fuel temperature.
Is the Hondata I put pwm sensitive ?

Yes, all the ethanol sensors are the same continental sensor, and the s300 measures both frequency and duty cycle to work out the ethanol content.
