Still having VSS signal issues

Post by mjalaly »

I have not clue what is going on but VSS CEL keeps coming on and I cannot figure out how to get it work. I have directly wired 12v, GND, B10 and installed a whole new sensor. Is it getting an error because I am not using the stock dash (or one at all)? Thoughts?

Any way around this or can i install anther sensor somewhere else? I have no clue how my tuner was able to tune with it on. he was boosting over 10psi on the dyno but once i get around 4 it cuts out. this has been an issue for over a year.

According to that post you are not getting a correct VSS reading in the datalogs.

ok???

if it is a new sensor and wired directly to the ecu, what could be the issue? So same questions as the original post...
1) thoughts on what is going on?
2) does it matter if the stock dash is not in place?
3) Can a separate speed senor be wire to the ecu to pull a signal from?

no one locally has a clue what is going on.

You need to try the ECU on a vehicle that has a working VSS and see if it can datalog a proper VSS signal. If it does then you know you have a problem in your vehicle that you must resolve.

It should be wired 12v, GND and B10 correct? Should the vss be wired to the ecu ground or is the chassis fine?

yeah i dont know anyone with a similar computer. Is there another Hall sensor that can be mount to the wheel instead? Will this work?

It should be wired per the factory service manual.

I do not believe that will work with a factory ECU even with Hondata.

yeah... the service manual shows it going to b10 and two grounds (G101 and A26). that doesn't sound right.

is there an alternate sensor that will work?
