Kpro issue

Post by lococraigyboy »

Hi everyone only joined today so not sure how this works, I have a 2005 premier edition ep3 with a toyosport exhaust, aem Cai and a kpro. The guy I bought it from said it was mapped so the vtec kicked in at 4500rpm and revved to 8.5k rpm. Got the clutch done and the map had disappeared? I have Kmanager on the laptop but the Ecu has the security enabled so I can't do anything. It says I can disable the security by wiping the Ecu but I'm not exactly sure on what I'm getting my self In for. Is it safe to disable the security/wipe Ecu? I want to get the vtec to where it was before and enable the launch control but I dont want to lose any map it has on it. Thanks

If you erase the ECU then the calibration in it will be erased. Either get the calibration from the seller as a file or start anew with a base calibration.

This is a Euro car, right? In that case, the civictyper-tuned calibration is what you want.

It depends on exhaust restriction. The only way to tell is on the dyno.
