Hi all,
I have a EG civic with a K20A2 swapped engine which I built four years ago roughly. Spec is as follows:
K20A2 stock UK engine
50 psi fuel pressure
RBC intake manifold
HR 70mm throttle body
PLM manifold
3" exhaust system
3" intake
Walbro 255
Basically the idle takes a long time to come down and 95% of the time will sit at around 1600rpm. If for example I pull up to traffic lights or a junction it'll come down gradually to 1600rpm. Everyones looking at me like I'm a fool lol. Sometimes I give it a couple of blimps of the throttle and it'll come back down, sometimes it'll raise back up on it's own, sometimes not. Seems completely random.
I've tried cleaning the IACV out, it spins 100% freely. I've also scales my TPS in K manager, tried different maps, adjusted TPS at throttle body and scaled in again, adjusted iacv slider in k manager. And it's still the same lol. I then decided to get the car properly tuned by a very highly rated guy here in the UK. The map is brilliant, car feels better than ever but still have this idle problem. I've then tried a different K pro on a mates EP3 with my map and he has the same problem with my map file! So it must be the map right? Anyone have any ideas? I'm banging my head up the wall here.
Thanks in advance.
Dan
Professionally tuned but high idle when slowing down etc
