S300 V.3 Red Flashing Light

My buddy and I are both having issues with our S300 V.3. My car had been down for a while and I installed my s300 into another ECU. Went from a P72 to a P28. When I tried to start my car it would only crank. If it would start, it would idle really bad and if I pressed on the gas it would then shut off. I noticed that it also wasn't reading my TPS. So my friend brought over his ECU with his S300 V.3 installed in it. He uploaded my map and my car started right up. So I figured I have a bad ECU on my end, right ? Well today I borrowed his ECU so I can drive my car around. When I tried to upload my map it would not allow me. I was getting a red flashing light and it would not connect to my laptop. I found that very strange as a few days ago all was working fine. We tried to use another laptop and it was the same on both ECU's. No connection and it was flashing the red light. So now I'm confused on what the hell can possibly be going on ??

Things we have done to solve the issue..



Tried different lap tops
Deleted old S-manager and uploaded most recent update
Tried to use different USB cables
Tried it on different cars and no luck

From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

Have you tried the ECU back in his car to rule out a wiring problem in your own car?

Software version is 2.5 if I remember correctly. Yes, we did try his ECU back on his car. Same thing was happening . Red flashing light and it wouldn't connect. He then brought out his laptop , downloaded the most recent version of S-manager and the same problem still consisted.

With the s300 out of the ECU and plugged into the USB does it show up in the software?

With both S300's out the ECU's and the USB cable plugged into the S300's it says: online , #2 LED still flashing red and #4 LED is solid green on both S300.

update... after troubleshooting some more we got the issue fixed. It was a bad connection due to the S300 not sitting correctly on the board. The 3 small pins on the board that connect into the S300 were bent. Once we straightened them, everything worked properly. Tried my S300 in his ECU and it was able to connect and upload maps again.
