S300 hardware problem

Post by fhcampos »

- serial number of the s300 inside the ECU
Serial > 12,396 S300 v1
- version of software being used (Help, About)
2.5.0.0
- the calibration (as an attachment)
- a datalog of a problem (as an attachment)
can´t datalog
- what sort of vehicle you have
Honda Civic Coupe d16z6 - turbo
- what sort of ECU you are using
p28 manual
- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc).
Nothing
- a specific description of the problem
S300 v1, never had a single problem with it for 4 years. Today, after 20 days without even look at the car, didn´t work at all.
- CEL Always on
- Poor idle and revs, can´t run.
- Can´t comunicate with ecu properly - cant see real time parameters, cant see or erase DTC´s
- It uploads(or at least shows on the software)
- Erase ECU doesn´t work.
- D1 led always red.
- D2 led sometimes is green, but mostly off.
- D4 green

What I have tested so far:
- Another ECU - same problem
- Change the 20m cristal of the s300 - same problem

I usted to work for a dealer here in Brazil, I have good soldering skills and knowlege of eletronics, if you could help me fix this would be great, 330usd to ship the s300 to you would be a great cost right now(4:1 currency ratio today in Brazil) - it is my personal project car.

Thank you for the detailed information. Given it was working and then stopped working when the car was left for a period of time, I would guess it is the non volatile RAM on the S300. There's no remote repair that we can do - the S300 would have to be sent in to upgrade.

Thks for the reply!
I think you are right about the ram, going to try some tricks.
If Im not able to repair it, do I need a RMA number or just send the ecu with the form filled?

Thks again for the help.

You will need to obtain an RMA number before sending it in.
