Road tune the ignation timing
Can i road tune the ignation timing as well? Is it the right step : advance the timing by 2 degrees everytime and full throttle datalogging. Until knock count sence the knocking, and this is the highest power of timing?thank you!
Re: Road tune the ignation timing
If your knock sensor worked perfectly then that would find the knock limit, but not ideal ignition timing, which may be less. A dyno is the only way.

Re: Road tune the ignation timing
If i want to tune for economy on cruising. Is it tune to VTC 30 degree and a/f 14.7? What should i set the ignition timing on cruising speed for economy? Thanks for help!
Re: Road tune the ignation timing
Ignition timing doesn't make much difference at part throttle. Anything from 30-50 degrees works. We use stock tables in that area.
