S300 V3 Digital Input and Innovate LC-1 serial link

Post by MugenFoo »

Has anyone managed to successfully link up between an Innovate LC-1 wideband's digital (serial) output with a S300 V3's digital input ?

When i had the S300 V3 with SManager 2.3.7, it was working well (so i know the pin connections are good, using the I- and digital ground pins), but since SManager 2.4.x up to the latest 2.5.0 [and their corresponding firmwares] , the S300's Digital input would read some crazy figure like 212:1 A/F ratios.

Any idea what's going on here?

Thanks in advance.

Post your calibration as well as a datalog showing the problem.

Yes I can confirm having this problem, what I did was to use lambda instead of A/F. I hope they will fix this and add the ability to connect 4 LCs in a daisy chain

Calibration and datalog file as attached.

Have also tried to change the units from A/F to Lambda, but doesn't seem to help in my case here.

Try setting the digital sensor setup DI0 like this, when i viewed your datalog it shows as a normal A/F reading

Seem to have hit a snag here, i can't seem to change the units from "Volts" to "Lambda"......
The "Type" is also stuck on "Voltage". Did i miss out someplace to configure the DI0 to be a wideband A/F input ?

Also, your sensor list has groups (Input, Outputs, Nitrous , whereas mine just list all the sensors without any group headings! ) I even nuked my entire Smanager 2.5.0 and did a clean reinstall but i still don't get that nicely organised list from your screenshot.

Something wrong with my SKL calibration file or SManager ?

OK folks, looks like i found a workaround to this particular problem.

Finally managed to set DI0 to be config'd as a Wideband input.
First, i exported the sensor INI settings via the Sensor Setup table into a somesensor.ini file,
then manually edit the somesensor.ini with a text editor as follows in this section:
==============================
[DI0]
DisplayName=DI0 Wideband
Description=Innovate LC-1 Serial
SensorUnit=1
DisplayMin=11
DisplayMax=18
WarningMin=0
WarningMax=0
==============================

Then re-import the sensor settings from the modified somesensor.ini file and now SManager would treat DI0 as a wideband signal input. Previously, SensorUnit would be stuck on 18 and I just didnt find a way to change it within SManager. Maybe someone can point out the obvious to me?

And yeah looks like a labelling bug here. If set at SensorUnit=0 (which i deduced to mean A/F), readings go crazy. But with SensorUnit=1 (lambda) but with the Min & Max settings set as if it was meant for A/F (e.g. 10 and 18), then the DI0 sensor readout is correct.

Hope this helps anyone else that has this issue too and big thanks again to @AREA876 for the tip on using Lambda units to get the sensor readings right.

SManager 2.5.1 in the works .... ?

Glad I could be of assistance

If you want to group sensors right click on the sensor window and you will get the option to group sensors
