How to read a datalog

Post by t222ndy »

Sorry for the complete beginner questions, just trying to learn a bit about my kpro!

I got myself a cable to connect my laptop to my kpro and decided to datalog a run in 3rd gear.. Just wondering what exactly I can read from this datalog? Also the speedo and gear seems to be out on my display but I dont think this will make any difference.. The knock count does say 73 although that is because I had the car datalogging for ages before i actually recorded the drive. Think it only went up one knock during

The datalog starts with the 3rd gear oull then up the gears until I stopped recording

You have 72 knocks...thats not good at all...you should also post your air fuel datalogs

The knocks where going up every time my diff clunked so 72 isn't really accurate, doesn't take much to produce a 'knock' and as I said that was over a long period of data logging not just the one 3rd gear pull.. The one third gear pull and into 4th 5th then 6th only showed one extra knock so there's no problems ther

Either way you need to fix your clunky diff or potential engine knock. Please post your afr
